AIR TERJUN DUA WARNA (TWO COLOUR WATERFALL)

This is located at sibolangit area, can reach around one and half hour from Medan heading to berastagi. You have to prepare everything because you will do the exciting and tired trekking. You have to bring change cloth, trekking shoes, mineral water and snack.

Arriving at sibolangit, turn right and pas the entrance gate of sibolangit scout field, which was used for international scout field on 1992. Around 10 minutes from here you will arrive at local guide association centre. They will meet and greet you, pay for entrance fee and guide fee then ready to start.

Normally it needs two or two and half hours to walk to reach the waterfall. Start to trek, the local tour guide walk in front. They look very fast because I though they go every day, or can say that is their job. But don’t worry they will wait you if you are tired.

Before start

My experience with other three friends, on April 6, 2015 we went full day tour there. We had to rest on the first 30 minutes because one of my friend looked like gave up. We were taking picture while taking rest. Finally we continued our trip and walking slowly and having fun as long the journey, we took chance to capture wherever we thought nice. It need three times for us to rest. Half journey we met two lady tourists from hongkong, they were on the way back. And we knew the tourist guide, he is our friend. Greeted and kidding a few words and gone.

The last rest, we had heard the stream din. Our tired was gone but instead we still need to walk 15 minutes to reach the waterfall.

Arriving at the waterfall we met a middle aged lady who is selling instant cup Mie and some snack. We were lucky because she said not every day but normally just weekend. She said she does the job around 6 years, “wonder women like my mother” I told myself. We also found a group of young men sit there before us.

Finally we were having fun in the water, made any action and change capture. Tips from the local tour guide “can not close two meters from waterfall”
