Day 1 Airport-Medan

afternoon, 1st mey2015 I went to kualanamu international airport at Deliserdang to pick Mr Irvin and his friend Mr Omar . I departed at 15:30 from home, their plane was 4:45 pm. I have prepared everything including the sign name on a piece of paper. After we met I scout out the airport and I get innova car. We went to Medan city about an hour. We introduced each other and I explained them about medan.arrived at Medan i transferred them to grand Aston hotel and we promised to meet them the next day at 8 am.

Day 2 Medan-Berastagi-samosir island

8 o'clock in the morning I was up in the lobby of the hotel and a few minutes later met with Mr Arvin and Mr

SIALLAGAN VILLAGE (KAMPUNG SIALLAGAN)

Siallagan village is one of the famous tourist spots on the Samosir island. It became tourist object

Lake Toba(Indonesia:Danau toba) is a lake which is located on north Sumatra-Indonesia and was formed by the eruption of Toba volcano. Occurs three times a devastating eruption which destroyed two-thirds of the earth's population at the time. The first occurred 75 thousand years ago, the second 65 thousand years ago and the third 45 thousand years ago. Lake Toba stretches about 100km from north to south and 30 km wide from east to west. Danau Toba has a depth reaching the deepest point 450meter and the elevation is 900 meters above sea level.

TOMOK VILLAGE

Tomok is one of the oldest village in samosir island and be the well-known tourist spot here. Can reach from parapat use regular boat from tiga raja harbor. Tomok is well-known for traditional houses with sigale-gale puppet/statue and the ancient tomb of samosir.

The legend of sigae-gale puppet was the only young son of the king, asking to go to the war field by the king. Unfortunately he was killed. For batak people, son is the most precious treasure and successor of clan then the king was very sad. Some people that had carving skill looking for special wood from the jungle and curved it look like king’s son face, then by helping of bomo/foreteller called the spirit and asking to go inside the carving. After that hold the traditional dance on front of the king house. The king came out and surprised that his son was alive. King said to held party for seven days. Last time that is used to do to console people who lost the only one son.

Tomb of sidabutar king is the area of sidabutar royal cemetery/tomb. There are three king tomb, chief villager and king soldier with unique shape. Due to the locksmith the first king was buried here around 650 years ago. First king was ompu soribuntu sidabutar, second king was ompu niujungbarita sidabutar and the third was ompu solompoan sidabutar.

Tomok also well-known for souvenir and hand craft.

Jonggi Turnip

AIR TERJUN DUA WARNA (TWO COLOUR WATERFALL)

This is located at sibolangit area, can reach around one and half hour from Medan heading to berastagi. You have to prepare everything because you will do the exciting and tired trekking. You have to bring change cloth, trekking shoes, mineral water and snack.

Arriving at sibolangit, turn right and pas the entrance gate of sibolangit scout field, which was used for international scout field on 1992. Around 10 minutes from here you will arrive at local guide association centre. They will meet and greet you, pay for entrance fee and guide fee then ready to start.

Normally it needs two or two and half hours to walk to reach the waterfall. Start to trek, the local tour guide walk in front. They look very fast because I though they go every day, or can say that is their job. But don’t worry they will wait you if you are tired.
