1 MAIMUN PALACE (ISTANA
MAIMUN)
Maimun palace was built in 1888 by the 9th sultan
“maimun perkasa alamsyah”.it was the centre of deli sultanate. Built in the
area covers 2.700 m2 with the building style are Indian, Europe and Malay concept.
It is located on katamso street and be the land mark of Medan. Many visitors
domestic and international visit this building for its historical and unique
design. Now although still got sultan but no more power of the sultan because of Indonesian
government system is presidential. So the palace declared to be heritage.

MEDAN
It was built in 1906 and first to use was September 1909.
This was built by sultan maimun perkasa alamsyah”. it belongs to royal sultanate.
The architect was van erp who was also design maimun palace and some heritage
buildings in Medan, but then continued by ja tindeman design mixing style
middle east,Morocco,Malay and Europe.

3 TJONG A FIE MANSION
Tjong a fie was born in 1860 meixian district, canton
province-china. He came from a poor family with only had brief education, he
decided to go to Dutch East Indies (now is Indonesia) to seek a better life
. He arrived in Medan at 1875 and follow his brother Tjong yong hian that coming earlier to Medan. He successful to manage his own business with more than 10000 workers.

Tjong
a fie mansion is one of the heritage in Medan, lied in kesawan Medan down town.
It is the house of Tjong a fie family and was completed in 1900, now become a
tourist spot in Medan with entrance fee is idr 35000,-

4 CITY HALL AND BANK OF
INDONESIA
located on jl balai Kota,
opposite to merdeka walk. It was built in 1908 by architecture hulswit and
fermon during the Dutch East Indies. In the site is bank of Indonesia and that
time was used as money changer. Now the city hall is under grand Aston hotel
management which was built behind the building.

5 POST OFFICE
It
was built in 1911 by architect snuyf, public work director Nederland bureau for
Indonesia at that time. This is the zero km of Medan and now become the center
of Medan post office.
